Quest App: Gamified Planner — last updated September 14, 2026

This app is built to work fully without ever giving us your real-world identity. Almost everything you create lives on your own device by default. This page explains exactly what leaves your device, when, and why — no vague language, no boilerplate we don't actually follow.

What we collect

Nothing, until you choose to sync. Your quests, journal entries, and progress are stored locally on your device. They only reach our servers if you link an email address (Settings → Link an email) — that's what lets Premium and your data follow you to a new device, or lets you use the web companion at app.questapp.cc.

One exception, even as a guest: on Android, the free Organizer's two trial uses are checked against a hashed version of your device's Android ID — never the real value, and never anything else — purely to stop the same device from claiming unlimited free trials by reinstalling. Nothing else on Android reads this.

Once linked, we store:

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see your payment card, billing address, or any financial details. We receive a purchase confirmation (a receipt/transaction ID) from Apple or Google, which we use only to verify your subscription is active.

Calendar access (optional)

If you turn on Calendar Sync, the app can read your device's calendar events to display them alongside your quests, and creates a separate, dedicated "Quest App" calendar for scheduled quests — your existing calendars and events are never modified. This permission is entirely optional and off by default; the app works fully without it.

AI features (Organizer, Sage, Fairy, Guild)

When you use these features, the text you type (a task dump, a chat message, or — for the Fairy — your journal entries) is sent to our AI provider, Moonshot AI, to generate a response. This only happens when you actively use one of these features — nothing is sent in the background.

Who we share data with

We don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising or tracking SDKs. The only outside services involved are the ones required to run the app at all:

Party features

If you create or join a Party, the questlines and chat messages you post there are visible to other members of that same party — that's the whole point of the feature. This is separate from your own private data, which stays private to you.

Deleting your data

You can permanently delete your synced account and all associated data at any time at questapp.cc/delete-account — enter your linked email, confirm with the one-time code we send, and it's gone. This removes your linked email, synced game data, and password from our servers. Data that only ever existed locally on your device is deleted the moment you uninstall the app.

Children's privacy

Quest App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or how we use it, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
